3D model from a drawing
Send a PDF, scan, photo or DXF — get STEP and STL, a model video and notes on the drawing. Every dimension is checked against the model; anything ambiguous comes as a question with options.

Examples

Example 1 · public NIST drawing
Heat sink 827-9999-904: 59 dimensions, inches, ASME tolerances
- The model is built in millimetres, every dimension measured on the model.
- The builder read “2X .825” as the pitch between pin rows — the second row shifted by 6.35 mm. An independent checker caught it before delivery; the NIST reference model confirmed it.
- On 16 NIST reference sheets with dimensioned views, 97–100 % of the model surface is within 0.05 mm of the reference.

Example 2 · poor factory scans
Repair drawing album of the 16K20 lathe
- Nut: model mass 0.507 kg — 0.5 kg in the title block, the volume is correct.
- Bushing: an almost unreadable scan; mass 0.133 kg vs 0.14 in the title block (the title block is rounded).
- One spot couldn't be read reliably from the scan — it came as a question with a crop of the scan, not a guess.
What you get
- STEP — opens in KOMPAS-3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion, FreeCAD; STL for printing
- Model video: rotation from above and below — free, before payment
- Drawing notes: contradictions, missing dimensions, what we assumed by default
- Questions with ready answer options; if several options fit, models for all of them are already built — you choose
- Optional: a FreeCAD model with a feature tree — change dimensions yourself
Honest limitations
- Threads in the model — a tap-drill hole, the thread size in the letter (like cosmetic threads in CAD)
- Tolerances and surface finish are not carried into STEP — they stay on your drawing
- An isometric view without dimensions can't give an exact model — we'll say so and make an approximate one, clearly marked
- Save KOMPAS files (.cdw) as PDF or DXF
